TikTok Slowed applies, in one click, the setting that has become the signature of short videos: the song at 80% speed, with the pitch intact (or deeper, if you choose) and a medium 50% reverb. It's a gentle slowdown, designed so the track stays recognizable and keeps enough energy to hook viewers from the first second.

How it works, in 3 steps

    The preset sets 80% speed and 50% reverb. In Custom you can move them: speed from 50 to 100% and reverb from 0 to 200%.

How to tune it for short video

  • 80%: the standard

    Slow enough to sound dreamy and lively enough not to lose the viewer.

  • 70–75%: more drama

    For very emotional edits. Go lower and the video can drag.

  • 85–90%: barely noticeable

    A subtle slowdown for lo-fi or calm content that doesn't want to sound like an effect.

  • Reverb at 50%

    Adds atmosphere without burying the voice. Raise it for something closer to vaporwave.

  • 15, 30 or 60-second clips

    Trim the audio to one of those lengths so it fits as a sound without abrupt cuts.

Tips for better results

  • Pick the most recognizable part of the song, usually the chorus, and trim it with Audio Trimmer.
  • For lip sync, try 80% first and drop to 75% if you're still rushing.
  • Note down your favorite custom settings: using the same sound helps people recognize your videos.
  • The original song still has its rights: the safest option is your own or licensed music.

It's the best balance between mood and rhythm: it sounds slowed and dreamy, but it doesn't drag and the song stays recognizable.

Does it change the pitch of the song?

Not by default: it slows down keeping the pitch and the voice sounds natural, just more relaxed. If you want deeper vocals, choose «lower pitch».

How much reverb does it add?

Medium reverb, 50% on our scale, which adds depth without clouding the voice. In Custom you can take it up to 200% for something closer to vaporwave.
