Pick a kit and tempo
Choose one of the seven machines, set the BPM by typing it or tapping it with the TAP button and, for a looser feel, add some swing.
Play or program
Use the pads with the mouse, your finger or the keyboard, or switch to the sequencer and turn on cells in the grid. You can also start from a style pattern.
Add effects and export
Add reverb, distortion or bit crusher in the effects panel, choose how many loops you want and the format, and download the beat.
What the drum machine includes
Seven classic kits
808, 909, 707, CR-78, MPC-60, LM-1 and DMX, each with 16 one-shot sounds: kicks, snares, toms, hi-hats, cymbals, claps and percussion.
16 pads with keyboard shortcuts
The Q-W-E-R, A-S-D-F and Z-X-C-V rows, plus keys 1 to 4, trigger each pad so you can play with both hands.
16 or 32-step sequencer
One row per sound, with its own volume and mute, to draw the pattern cell by cell.
Style patterns
Rock, four on the floor, boom bap, trap, reggaeton, lo-fi, bossa nova, drum & bass and afrobeat. Loading one sets the tempo for the genre.
Your own sounds
From each pad's mic icon, record a clap, your voice or an object. Silence at the start and end is trimmed automatically.
Output effects
Reverb with tail control, distortion and bit crusher, applied to the whole mix at once.
Live recording
Record what you play on the pads as it happens and download it afterwards.
Random and clear

Tips for better results
- Start from a style pattern and change it: the fastest way to get something that sounds good and make it yours.
- A touch of swing brings hip-hop and lo-fi to life; house and techno usually work better straight.
- If you'll use the loop in a video or another song, export several loops to have room when editing.
- Record everyday sounds, like a pencil on the desk or a finger snap, to give your kit its own character.
- Export WAV if you'll keep working on the beat and MP3 if you just want to share it.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to know music to use it?
No. You can start by playing the pads by ear or loading a ready-made pattern. The sequencer grid shows visually where each hit falls, so you learn as you go.
What's the difference between the pads and the sequencer?
Pads sound the instant you press them, like an instrument. The sequencer loops a bar divided into 16 or 32 steps and plays the cells you've turned on.
How do I change the tempo?
Type the BPM, from 40 to 300, or press TAP several times following the beat in your head: the tempo adjusts to your taps.
Can I use my own sounds?
Yes. Each pad has a mic button: record the sound, listen to it and, if you like it, assign it. From then on that pad plays your recording instead of the kit sound.
What does swing do?
It delays every other sixteenth note slightly to give the beat a shuffle feel, very common in hip-hop and jazz. At zero, the beat is perfectly straight.
Which format is the beat downloaded in?
WAV, for maximum quality if you'll keep working on it, or MP3, lighter for sharing. Before exporting you choose how many loops of the pattern you want: 1, 2, 4 or 8.
