The preset applies 120%, the short-video standard, and you can choose any value between 100 and 150%. If you want high-pitched vocals too, that's nightcore.

What changes at each speed
120%: the starting point
Extra energy without sounding rushed. A 100 BPM track becomes 120, and a 3:00 song lasts 2:30.
130%: more drive
For songs that were already upbeat or for very fast videos. 100 BPM becomes 130.
150%: the maximum
The song lasts two thirds of its original length. Save it for simple tracks with clear vocals.
The pitch doesn't move
Time-stretching changes the length without touching the pitch: the voice keeps its timbre.
Sped up isn't nightcore
Nightcore also raises the pitch for high vocals. Here the voice sounds like the original.
Tips for better results
- Start at 120% and go up in steps of five: as soon as the words run together, step back once.
- Ballads and slow songs usually take less speeding up than tracks that are already upbeat.
- If you need an exact BPM to sync with a video, measure the original with BPM Detector and work out the percentage.

Does the song change pitch when sped up?
No, and that's exactly what defines sped up: the tempo rises while the pitch stays put. The voice sounds like the original artist, with no chipmunk effect.
What's the difference from nightcore?
Nightcore speeds up to 125% and also raises the pitch about 3 semitones, with very characteristic high vocals. Sped up only changes the speed: it sounds more natural and the song is easier to recognize.
Which speed should I choose?
120% is the standard and works with almost anything. Go to 130% for songs that were already fast or for more energy, and save 150% for very pronounced effects.
How long will my song be?
Divide the length by the speed factor. At 120%, a 3:00 song ends up at 2:30; at 150%, at 2:00.
Isn't it the same as speeding up the player?
Not exactly. Plain speeding up can raise the pitch or leave artifacts. Here time-stretching changes the length while keeping the pitch, and you get a new file you can use in any editor.
